Configure a conflict pre-screen for firm review

ClaireAI can support a firm-configured conflict pre-screen using approved information and supported connections. The result supports human review; your firm makes the conflict and representation decisions.

TL;DR

  • Define the minimum first-contact information and the source used for your pre-screen.
  • Assign a reviewer and an exception path before enabling the workflow.
  • A possible match, no match or unavailable source does not decide whether your firm may accept a matter.

Set the information boundary

Have the firm choose what to collect before a reviewer has assessed the inquiry. Identify questions that can wait and the response to a caller who begins sharing details outside that boundary. This is a configuration decision for the firm and its counsel.

Define the pre-screen workflow

  1. Identify the approved source and confirm whether the selected connection supports the intended lookup.
  2. Document the fields, access permissions and limitations of the data being checked.
  3. Assign a human owner for possible matches, incomplete results and unavailable sources.
  4. Approve the caller-facing language and the record retained for review.

Test incomplete and outdated records

Include a known sample match, a spelling variation, missing fields and a source that cannot be reached in your review plan. Confirm which cases the selected workflow can handle and how uncertain results reach a person. Do not interpret a failed lookup as clearance.

See current plan differences for basic and real-time conflict pre-screening.

Review the firm’s retention and access requirements before storing pre-screen information.
